Learn to Stamp

I’m playing with some new colors today, and the combination is a striking one!  These are two new In-Colors from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! 2012-2013 catalog.  Midnight Muse is rich and deep, and Summer Starfruit provides a bright POP of color on today’s card.  I used a brand new framelit called Itty Bitty Banners (129267), and the sentiment from the stamp set Kindness Matters (cs 122902) fits perfectly on it.

I’m sending this card to the wife of one of my co-workers.  She is always sending fun baked treats to the folks at work, and I wanted to thank her.  Just like the sentiments says, ”Kindness Matters”, and Heidi, you are so kind!  

I also submitted this card into the Mojo Monday Challenge #240.  I got some of my inspiration for this card from Ann Schach, another Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who makes beautiful projects.  Thanks, Anne!

I’m playing along with the Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge #129.  Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant were my colors of choice today, and it fit so well with the wonderful sketch by Margaret Moody.  Valentines cards don’t always have to be red or pink.  It’s fun to mix it up a little and try something different! 

Learn to Stamp Design Tips:

• Make a quick scallop border with the Stampin’ Up! Scallop Trim Border punch.  This punch adds a nice decorative edge in a jiffy.

• One of my favorite techniques is to offset my punched image with the same punch.  Use a coordinating color for symmetry.

• Need something pretty to tie your button with?  Just use cardstock!  This card uses a thin sliver of Stampin’ Up! Elegant Eggplant cardstock tied in a simple knot.  Nice and simple.
